Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy

Staff Link is committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking in our business operations and supply chain.

1. Policy Statement

Staff Link is committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. Our Anti-slavery Policy reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our supply chains.

2. Organisation Structure

Staff Link is a recruitment agency specialising in logistics, warehousing, and industrial cleaning sectors. We operate primarily within the UK and work with both temporary and permanent recruitment solutions. Our supply chains include:

  • Direct employment of recruitment consultants and support staff
  • Placement of temporary workers with client companies
  • Permanent recruitment services for client companies
  • Third-party service providers (IT, marketing, legal services)

3. Due Diligence Processes

We have implemented the following due diligence processes to assess and manage the risk of slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains:

  • Right to work verification for all candidates
  • Comprehensive reference checking procedures
  • Regular audits of client companies where we place workers
  • Supplier assessment and monitoring processes
  • Employee training on identifying and reporting potential slavery issues

4. Risk Assessment and Management

We assess the risk of slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains through:

  • Regular risk assessments of our operations and supply chains
  • Monitoring of high-risk sectors and geographical areas
  • Assessment of client companies' working conditions and practices
  • Review of candidate feedback and complaints

5. Performance Indicators

We use the following key performance indicators to measure how effective we have been in ensuring that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in any part of our business or supply chains:

  • Completion of right to work checks for all candidates
  • Number of slavery-related incidents reported
  • Training completion rates for staff
  • Client compliance with our anti-slavery requirements

6. Training and Awareness

To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and our business, we provide training to relevant members of staff. All directors have been briefed on the subject.

7. Reporting and Whistleblowing

We encourage all our workers, customers and other business partners to report any concerns related to the direct activities, or the supply chains of, our organisation. This includes any circumstances that may give rise to an enhanced risk of slavery or human trafficking. Our whistleblowing procedure is designed to make it easy for workers to make disclosures, without fear of retaliation.

8. Compliance and Monitoring

This policy is reviewed annually and updated as necessary to ensure it remains relevant and effective. The policy is communicated to all employees and is available to all stakeholders.
